When you walk into The Little Black Shack, you immediately feel a sense of home. Even though our homes don't have gorgeous old books, shells, luxe details and an ocean view - there was a sense of comfort immediately.
Every element as you look in this space is actually perfect. It feels like it has been lived in, in the best possible way.
Our eyes scan over the beautiful little details - the beautifully coloured spines of vintage books in wooden boxes on the walls, the sea vessel iconography, stunning paintings. All little symbols of the ocean and exploration.
The most breathtaking moment when walking around this beautiful stay (if you could pick one!) is the bedroom. The view out the bedroom window makes you feel like you are not on land, but out at sea. We can only imagine what it would be like waking up to this, our muse Billiejean was lucky enough to wake up here - albeit, our start time was so early it was dark! From that window we watched the sun rise over the water and it was just spectacular.
The outdoor area is such a treat, a wood fire pizza oven, dining on the hills edge with a vantage point across to the Northern Beaches - it felt so calming watching the ripples of the water in the bay.
We hope that we can go back to the Little Black Shack as soon as possible and thank you to Jamie and Ingrid for your beautiful hospitality and tips for the shoot!
